Fiorentina striker Moise Keane has revealed he is now more confident and is determined to fight for a place in the Italian national football team.

The 27-year-old joined the “Purple Giants” from Juventus this season for a fee of 13 million euros, which could rise to 18 million euros depending on performance. He has been in excellent form, scoring 7 goals and providing 1 assist in his first 12 games, most recently scoring twice in the team’s 5-1 home rout of Roma in Serie A on Sunday UFABET

Italy boss Luciano Spalletti was in the DAZN studio praising Keane after his performance at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Saying: “He can hold up the ball and make long runs but he can also be a finisher. He has a bit of courage and a bit of arrogance because you need that personality and character.”

Keane said of his recent form: “I feel stronger mentally, I’m more mature and the people around me at Florence have welcomed me warmly. Everyone has shown from the beginning that they want me to do well. Which helps me train hard and give my all in every game.”

Speaking about the competition for the Italy first-choice striker position with Mateo Retegi. Keane said: “Without him it would not be a challenge! Competition for places is good for Italian football. It shows that we have good strikers in this country. Retegi is also a very good person. I am happy that he is doing well.”
